Orgullo Hispano Scholarship (Hispanic Pride)

About the Scholarship Program

The Orgullo Hispano Scholarship (Hispanic Pride) Fund, established in 2023 by the Kenosha Creative Space and Festival Orgullo Hispano, awards scholarships on an annual basis to students of Hispanic origin who reside in Kenosha County, Wisconsin.

Eligibility

The scholarship is open to students who are:

  • Residents of Kenosha County.
  • High School seniors enrolled in any public, private, or homeschool.
  • Intending to attend a an accredited higher education institution.
  • Descended from Hispanic and/or Latino heritage and/or origin.*

*The pool of applicants will be considered on an objective and non-discriminatory basis.  Ethnicity of Hispanic and/or Latino heritage and/or origin is meant to indicate that preference will be given to applicants who self-select this demographic profile.

Selection

The Foundation will begin accepting applications for the Orgullo Hispano Scholarship in January, with a deadline for applications in mid-March. Recipients will be selected each spring.

NOTE: The Kenosha Community Foundation will announce when applications for the scholarship are available and the date they are due.
