About the Mau Lou and Arthur Fund

Mary Lou and Arthur F. Mahone were community leaders and tireless advocates for human rights for all persons. Together, they helped shape the Kenosha community through their dedication, love, and compassion.

In 1999, the Mary Lou Mahone Fund was created to celebrate her life and legacy and became an open Field of Interest Fund within the Foundation. Upon Arthur’s passing in 2008, the fund became the Mary Lou and Arthur F. Mahone Fund – a Field of Interest fund designed to carry forward the couple’s philanthropic legacy. The Mahone Fund’s mission is to promote opportunities for deserving youth (the Mahone CEO Youth Scholarship Program ) and support Breast Cancer initiatives for women (including earmarked contributions for a collaborative women’s health initiative to assist individuals who cannot otherwise afford breast cancer treatment).

The Kenosha Community Foundation manages the Mary Lou and Arthur F. Mahone Fund and works directly with the organization to ensure the legacy of Mr. and Mrs. Mahone in perpetuity.
